Kazakh News Agency, Nur Sultan, April 9th, on April 8, the Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development Sklyar of Kazakhstan attended a government meeting and introduced the draft national plan for the "Bright Road" for 2020-2025.


According to the plan, Kazakhstan will focus on the construction and transformation of local road infrastructure, and plans to complete the renovation of 30,000 kilometers of local roads by 2025, and complete the modernization of regional transportation infrastructure.


In the development of highway infrastructure and transportation services, priority will be given to the transformation and maintenance of state and district-level highways and residential road networks, and the renovation of 6,600 kilometers of national highways, 30,000 kilometers of local roads and residential road networks.


In terms of air transportation, a series of measures will be implemented to develop regional aviation, including increasing the number of aircraft and upgrading airport infrastructure. It is planned to repair the airports of Uralsk, Kustanay, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Shymkent, Atyrau, Almaty and other places, build 11 regional airline airports, and provide subsidies for aircraft leasing. Develop transit air transport services and integrate the development of communication, navigation and monitoring systems with aviation personnel training systems.


As of 2019, the implementation of the "Bright Road" new economic policy has achieved a series of achievements: the contribution rate to GDP reached 3.3%, the creation of 360,000 jobs, the completion of the construction and transformation of about 4,000 kilometers of roads and railways, Kazakhstan's transit Income has increased by one third; the construction of various infrastructure projects has ensured the interconnection between various regions of Kazakhstan and the main international transportation corridors (North-South Corridor, East-West Corridor and Trans-Caspian International Transportation Corridor).
