Dear readers!

The Great Silk Road is one of the most remarkable achievements in the history of world civilization. A network of caravan routes crossed Europe and Asia and was the main source of trade relations in the ancient era and the Middle Ages. Ultimately, it served as very necessary means of cultural relations between the West and the East. It is well known from history that the longest branch of the Great Silk Road run through Kazakhstan and Central Asia.

However, we are aware that in the 20th century the Great Silk Way underwent a lot of barriers due to various political confrontations in the world. In recent years, the leaders of Kazakhstan and China have initiated the modern type of modernization of the Great Silk Road. In both countries, concrete steps have been taken and an international program was implemented.

If the Great Silk Road revives again, it will be useful not only for trade and economies of the countries, but it will also have a beneficial effect on cultural development. Most importantly, the Great Silk Road guarantees friendship and solidarity of peoples. Enriched with knowledge of its history, following the path of the new millennium, humanity will strive for security, stability and sustainable development.

And the youth is a key factor in the competitiveness of any nation in the modern world. The future of any state depends on young people. The development and stability of the country will directly depend on knowledge and qualifications, will power and patriotism, human qualities of youth.

It is no secret that in many countries a lot of initiatives are focused on ensuring a happy life for young people, as well as the full use of their potential and capabilities.

And I think that the youth magazine «The Silk Way Youth» is a good opportunity for them.

Thanks to this magazine, young people from the Great Silk Road will communicate with each other, exchange opinions and come to an understanding. Thus, they will jointly create a bright future for their countries on the basis of mutual understanding and reasonable dialogue.

I wish all young people of the world long and happy life, as well as successful activity for the Nursultan Nazarbayev magazine!
