The cargo handling capacity of 2.7 million tons was completed through 3 dry bulk terminals in Aktau Port. The implementation of the "Bright Road" plan will increase the total handling capacity of Aktau Port and Kurek Port to 26 million tons. With the opening of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kalas railway line, the first phase of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Corridor project can achieve a freight volume of 5 million tons per year, and 17 million tons in the future.

Road services are an important part of transportation infrastructure construction. The new road network has promoted the growth of passenger and freight traffic, with a growth rate of 4.6% in 2018. According to the plan, Kazakhstan plans to upgrade 10,000 kilometers of national highways and maintain 11,000 kilometers of national highways and 27,000 kilometers of local highways by 2025.
